Hershey Kiss Peanut Butter Blossom Cookies

feature-cookiesA perfect dessert for the winter season: Hershey Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies! These cookies are easy to make and delicious to eat. Here are the ingredients you will need:

  • A bag of Hershey Kisses
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 3/4 cup of Peanut Butter
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/3 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

First you will need to heat your oven to 375°F. Then start mixing ingredients by beating shortening and peanut butter in large bowl, and start adding the 1/3 cup granulated sugar and brown sugar until well blended. Then add the egg, milk and vanilla and stir together flour, baking soda, and salt. Lastly, add the peanut butter into the mixture.

Next, remove the wrappers from the Hershey Kisses and set them aside for now. From the mixture, get a small portion and shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls into granulated sugar and place them onto an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake them 8 to 10 minutes and immediately push a Hershey Kiss into the center of each cookie. Cool them completely and enjoy!

  2. Such a great post! I always see pastries on sites such as Pinterest and Tumblr, but I’m always so wary of making them because I’m not quite sure if mine will look just as appetizing. The combination of chocolate and peanut butter is always a safe bet. I’ll try this out. Thanks for sharing!

      You should definitely try this, they’re so simple too make. I’m also a little distrustful when I see certain recipes for pastries, just because they look so professional and I know mine might not look the same. My Peanut Butter Blossoms definitely do not look like they were made by a professional baker, especially since it was my first time making them, but they were so delicious and everyone loved them! I hope you enjoy them just as much!

  3. I make peanut butter blossoms every year for my mom on her birthday because they are her favorite cookie. I like to add a little almond extract with the vanilla, it really compliments the peanut butter.
